The search across all documents is one of the most important features of fileee. Using the search field, you can quickly and conveniently search all your documents in full text. We have now improved this feature even further: the search terms are now highlighted in yellow in the respective document so that you can find the required information or documents even faster. In this article, we also give you an exclusive preview of how we will further improve the search function in the coming months. Also, it is now possible for new users to simply register and log in to fileee with their Apple or Google account. When you copy text from PDF documents, the formatting is now also preserved. In addition, we have made fileee even more stable in the background.
Search is one of the core features of fileee. With the full text search, you can find your documents within seconds thanks to our OCR recognition. In combination with the fileeeBox, you can even find your corresponding originals in seconds. But finding the right document is only the first step. Especially with long documents such as contracts or general terms and conditions, but also documents with many numbers, it is helpful to find the desired information directly at a glance. That is why we have added text highlighting to the search function. The information you are looking for is now highlighted in yellow in the document. This way you can find the search term in the document at a glance and save even more time.
On iOS, we have also added filters for document types within the search. This allows you to narrow down the search results even more precisely with the filters. Especially for search terms with a large number of hits, you will find the documents you are looking for much faster. You can activate the filter via the search suggestions above the keyboard.
Together with the extended search function, we have also improved the copying of texts from documents. If you now copy a longer text from a document, the layout and formatting from the document is retained. For example, line breaks or formatting such as bold or underlined text are retained. From a technical point of view, it should be noted that the PDF must support this function, which unfortunately is not the case with all PDF documents.
We are already working hard to improve and expand the search function in the future. As one of the core features of fileee, this feature will become even better in the future, so that you can find the desired documents and information even faster and easier. Among other things, an auto-complete function, search suggestions, context-sensitive search and much more is planned. So it remains exciting, and we will of course keep you up to date here.
For new users, we now offer the possibility to create a fileee account directly with a Google account or via the "Log in with Apple" function. You now have the choice of logging in directly with your email address, with WEB.DE or GMX or with the new options via Google or Apple.
