Yesterday, a few of our fileee employees were on their way to an appointment. Unfortunately, there was an accident on the motorway. The car in the back crashed into our company car. Even though the damage looks enormous in the photos, our employees and the others involved are fine. It was only a minor accident with property damage. "Yes, we were lucky that nothing happened to us," says CTO and fileee founder Arne, who witnessed the crash.
What do you do after an accident?
The first thing to do is to secure the scene of the accident. It is best to switch on your hazard lights and set up your warning triangle - 50 to 100 metres away from the accident site. Then document the damage. With the photos, you can better prove what exactly happened. In the case of personal injury, the police must be called directly and also if you disagree about who caused the accident. In our case, this was not necessary. The people involved were fine and of course fileee was not to blame ;)
The insurance company of the person who caused the accident takes care of the vehicle damage. With fileee, you have all the important documents, such as the insurance policy, at hand to exchange your data with each other. You can find more tips on what to do in the event of an accident at our partner VGH. If you are involved in the damage, you must of course report it to your insurance company. You can also easily contact your insurance company via our e-Mailbox, provided they have the fileee system.
Only the paperwork with the car dealership was a bit annoying at the end. Of course, we are no longer used to that from fileee.
