Finally, the time has come. After several months of often sobering negotiations with manufacturers, we have decided on a way to bring the fileeeBox to the market. In order to have the fileeeBox in your home as quickly as possible and to make it even easier for you to organise your paperwork, we have decided to finance the first production series through a pre-order campaign. During the campaign, you will have the opportunity to pre-order the fileeeBox in different versions for 6 weeks. Our goal is to pre-order a total of 2000 sets consisting of fileeeBox and scan attachment. If the campaign is not successful, we will immediately refund the purchase price at the end of the campaign.
Why did we choose this path? - The fileeeBox is a new product that does not yet exist. We have received a lot of positive feedback and have also been able to attract a lot of people interested in our newsletter - nevertheless, we cannot predict how the fileeeBox will be accepted on the market. At the same time, the production prices per box only drop from very high order quantities. The danger would be great that we would end up sitting on several thousand boxes. As a start-up, we cannot take such a risk and pre-finance a six-figure amount for the production of a large quantity.
Since we ourselves are convinced of the fileeeBox and your enquiries are not ceasing (many, many thanks for that), we have looked around for alternatives that enable us to produce the fileeeBoxes risk-free and nevertheless as cost-effectively as possible. Very important: Your pre-order determines whether the fileeeBox will be available or not. Collecting pre-orders is the only way for us to bring the fileeeBox to market. If you really want to have the product, you should not wait, but support us by buying a box :)
Despite the low order quantity of 2000 units, we have managed to negotiate a relatively attractive price with the manufacturer. In order to be able to offer you the fileeeBox as cheaply as possible, we have also decided to handle all commissioning and tooling tasks internally. In the event of a successful campaign, our entire team, from interns to developers, will work extra shifts to complete the final steps and prepare your boxes for shipping. With this first production series, we want to finally bring the fileeeBox to the market. Due to the prices, we will only make a minimal profit, which serves as a buffer for hedging.
If the campaign is successful and we have collected 2000 pre-orders for the complete sets within 6 weeks, we will order from the manufacturer. The pure production time of the manufacturer is approx. 3 weeks, the electronics for the attachment has a delivery time of approx. 6 weeks. For the internal processing of all commissioning and tooling tasks we have planned approx. 2 weeks. We will therefore probably be able to ship the first boxes in June.
