From private to business - with fileee
Founder Joachim Knaack describes the founding period of APF Consult in 2018 with a lot of paperwork. A simple and fast solution was needed. Joachim took it slowly at first and used fileee privately. However, the mountain of paper in the company did not get any smaller.

The challenge
Joachim relatively quickly commissioned an external service provider to search for a simple document management system (DMS). The stated goal: to integrate a simple DMS that fits SMEs, has a document entry portal for all documents and offers a connection to lexoffice with invoice export as well as archive for searching. The most common DMS providers on the market were tested.

The solution
With fileee, the solution was found quickly, because other DMSs on the market were clearly too complex for the requirements. That's why APF Consult particularly appreciates how simple and intuitive fileee's DMS is. They use fileee as a document entry portal by importing e-mails through forwarding and uploading paper scans. The connection to lexoffice simplifies invoice export. The search function not only speeds up the retrieval of information: With the full-text search, contract contents can be quickly matched - a step that has replaced the four-eyes principle at APF Consult and saves a lot of time. In the meantime, APF Consult uses the full-text search instead of many tags. Once a month, all files are exported and stored locally, while fileee acts as an archive on a day-to-day basis.
