From March 2023, our fileee private and business rates will change. Read our blog to find out what changes are coming your way.
Starting March 2023, we will introduce new tariffs for all private and business users at fileee. Unfortunately, this change in tariff is also the first price increase since the company was founded eleven years ago; during this time, we have of course experienced rising costs, but have never passed these on to our customers. Now, however, we have to do this, also in view of the increased inflation, in order to be able to continue to offer our service at a high level and to continue to develop a document management system with new features that will bring us step by step closer to our mission of a world without paperwork.
In designing the new tariffs, we have taken great pains to keep the adjustments for most users as low as possible. fileee will continue to be one of the most affordable DMS providers on the market. Our goal is to create good tariff packages for the respective user groups that are also economical for us. By the way, existing customers can still secure the old prices for another year until 28.02.23 (for FREE customers) and 31.03.23 (for all other tariffs).
Despite these changes, we will continue to offer a usable FREE plan. Unlike other providers, this tariff is truly free, as you continue not to pay with your data (as is often the case with free apps and applications on the Internet) and we have deliberately decided against advertising in the app. For short-term higher document volumes, you can also digitize larger amounts of documents with the fileeeBox or a monthly subscription, for example.
In the private tariffs, among other things, we had to reduce the document volumes and the number of possible connected services such as cloud storage in the individual tariffs. One reason for this is the rising energy prices and higher costs for server services, which have made processing a document more expensive. Despite these rising costs, we have put special focus on adjusting the tariff changes so that the vast majority of PREMIUM plan users will not feel a major impact on their usage when they automatically switch to the BASIC plan at the end of their current billing period. For private users who use fileee very intensively and with large volumes of documents, we have created the SMART plan.
To make the transition as user-friendly as possible, we are giving existing customers the one-time opportunity to book the old fileee rates for another year until March 31, 2023.

For business users, the biggest change is probably the team members, which are no longer included for free in the new tariffs. However, we are sticking to our philosophy of not offering a strict per user:in/per month pricing model like other DMS vendors do. This allows us to keep our shared document work services affordable and not have costs increase exponentially as more people work with fileee. With the new tariffs, we are now introducing a mix of a base tariff for volumes such as number of documents plus a small fee for additional editors. Viewers remain free of charge. With this model, we remain one of the most affordable DMS providers on the market for three or more users, while small teams also benefit from above-average volumes. We have not increased our PROFESSIONAL prices, while the ENTERPRISE tariff has even been reduced in price. In this way, we have tried to compensate for the reduction in services by lowering the price.
Our goal is to remain a low-cost DMS alternative on the market, so that SMEs and self-employed people can also benefit from the advantages of fileee. In our opinion, digitization should not be a question of budget, which is why we want to support SMEs in particular in using intelligent digital solutions. We want to further develop and optimize fileee for you.

For all new customers, the new rates and prices will automatically apply from March 1, 2023. As an existing customer, we give you the option to use the old fileee rates for another year until March 31, 2023. For annual subscribers we have created the option to extend the existing subscription accordingly. Starting April 1, each subscription will renew at the new rates. If your next payment is due on or after April 1, renew your plan now! After April 1, we cannot allow you to continue using the old conditions. Likewise, a change within the old tariffs after the end of the offer is no longer possible.
