You think the green economy is just a fashionable term? Anyone who thinks about the environment is an "eco"? Wrong! At fileee, we attach great importance to sustainability and would like to make our own contribution to the environment. We are particularly looking forward to June. Because: Environment Day, proclaimed by the United Nations Environment Programme, celebrates its 40th anniversary on 5 June 2012! Worldwide, 150 countries are already participating - a huge movement that should open the eyes of each and every one of us to environmentally conscious action. But nationally, a lot has also been done in terms of sustainable thinking: the Berlin-based German Council for Sustainable Development has called for the German Sustainability Action Day on 4 June. National projects for "Rio+20", a UN conference on the topic of sustainable development, will be presented here.fileee can't be missing out on this, of course! With our product, we want to enable you to live as paperless as possible. We have a special surprise for our fans in Münster:
On 5 June you can find us at the Aasee from 12 noon, where we will be distributing environmentally friendly cotton bags. Unfortunately, the number is limited, so make sure you get your bag as soon as possible! P.S.: In case of bad weather, we won't be walking around directly at the Aasee, but a few metres further in front of the Mensa at the bike racks.Besides our action, we can claim that we work in a "Green Office" - which means more to us than just putting a few plants in our office! Paperlessness is our goal - everything that reaches us in the form is digitised as quickly as possible. As typical Münsterites, we ride our bikes a lot and we try to regularly provide you with links and tips on how you can protect the environment and make your everyday life easier at the same time by going paperless. And now we would like to know from you: What do you do to protect the environment? Is environmental protection important to you or do you find even simple waste separation superfluous?
** UPDATE **
5 June is over and so is World Environment Day. We distributed our cotton bags in front of the cafeteria from 12:00 onwards and could have given away many more, but unfortunately our supply was exhausted at some point. Thank you to everyone who picked up a bag. We also hope that you will always have the fileee bag with you in the future ;) In October there is another day that should not be ignored. This is the National No Print Day, which was initiated by Toshiba and will take place on 23 October 2012. You can read more about it on the National No Print Day website.
