2023 was a really eventful year for fileee. We launched two great features for business customers in particular this year, making our DMS even more attractive in the business market. But of course, we also worked hard in 2023 to make working with fileee even easier and also tweaked the intuitive UI. We now have a total of around 260,000 users on our platform.
For business users, fileee has been saving significantly more time since this year thanks to connected accounting software and freely configurable automation for individual workflows in fileee.
Since May, fileee users on the Business PREMIUM plan and above have been able to connect various accounting software to their fileee account. For all users of DATEV, Agenda, lexoffice and sevDesk, fileee is now the document management system of choice. Simply export the documents from fileee to the accounting service with two clicks - including document type matching and multi-client capability! With the help of the assignment rules, your documents are automatically assigned to the correct document types and can even be exported to the accounting software fully automatically via multi-export or automation.

Our biggest and most important business update this year is probably the automation feature. All recurring processes that are controlled manually in fileee can now be turned into an automatic workflow using syntax automation. You can choose from a variety of triggers, conditions and actions ( you can find an overview in our help center) to automate your individual workflow. This means that you can now create completely individual document workflows in fileee completely automatically.
You can find a number of relevant use cases - for example, the automatic sharing of tax-relevant documents and subsequent export to DATEV & Co. or invoice approval - in our blog or help center. The new fileee tariffs for private and business customers have been available since March of this year. Our aim was to put together good tariff packages for the respective user groups that are also economical for us - and we would like to thank you very much for accepting our new tariffs so well! In May, fileee spruced itself up: We worked on our user interface and made some major improvements to the mobile app in particular. You now have more space for entering your data and, for example, a clear calendar page with days of the week. There are also improvements to the web app interface that make it easier to manage tasks and filter in the document library. You can read about all the changes here.
We optimized the search in the mobile apps for iOS and Android last September. The search filters from the web app have now also been adapted to the mobile view. This makes searching on the go even faster!
In addition, the accounting interfaces are now also available in the fileee app.
Following the successful launch of the webinars in 2022, we continued the series this year. We got to know many industries together via pharmacy, dental practice, e-commerce, hairdressing salon and veterinary practice. What they have in common is the need for simple, intuitive, secure software for legally compliant archiving of their documents and the ability to quickly find relevant documents at any time, even when on the move. And so our co-founder and CEO Marius again interviewed business users to find out how they use fileee. Whether it's always having access across locations, managing documents in a team, archiving them in an audit-proof manner or using the fileee app on the go - there were many use cases. In spring, our sister company ThinkOwl visited us in Münster. We discussed many upcoming developments together - we have a big vision! We will be working on this together in future, also in cross-company teams.
We didn't want to release our new accounting interfaces into the world from a lonely chamber - that's why we sought discussions with tax consultants three times in 2023. To this end, we attended the TAXarena in Berlin in the summer and in Mainz and Hamburg in the fall. The feedback was consistently positive and we look forward to working with various tax firms soon.
